About this Spot
Ostia is an ideal spot for kitesurfing in Italy, located just outside Rome. It's a great spot for all levels, from beginners to experts, with flat water and some waves.
During the summer months, the sea is generally calm and the wind is steady, making it a great spot to learn and perfect your kitesurfing skills.
The best period to go is between May and September. The area is well equipped with several beaches, with good launch and landing sites and kite schools that offer rental equipment and lessons.
Besides kitesurfing, you can also enjoy a day of SUP or windsurfing in the area, as well as a stroll along the picturesque beachfront promenade and a visit to the nearby archaeological sites of Ostia Antica and the Baths of Caracalla.
